I was laid off from my job about 5 months ago and, having owned a couple of multi-family buildings for several years, decided to pivot to be a full time real estate investor. Meanwhile, my wife continues to work her full time job at one of the top children's hospitals in the country. We have raised our two children on the east side of Cincinnati and intend to have our properties in this area.
We currently have one house rented to a family who recently moved back to Cincinnati for the three months they are waiting for their house to be completed. I am trying to create direct connections to corporate/medical housing firms, staffing firms and firms connected to insurance companies to create a consistent stream of potential guests. My wife and I named our company One Less Thing, LLC and our hope is that we can make it easy for those looking for temporary housing to find the accommodations they need and thus have one less thing on their list of things to do.
